Welcome back to your weekly horoscope Sweet Trees and Darling Roots! This is one of the most powerful weeks of the year with the first New Moon of the Astrological New Year! Take time out of your busy week to think about how the actions, commitments and relationships in your life play a role in helping you achieve your dreams. Are you moving in the direction of what feels like your destiny? Are there any changes you can make to put yourself in environments that support your authentic self expression?

In the earliest hours of March 27th, Mercury, the planet representing our mind and communication, moved into Aries. It plans to speed through Aries in only 2 weeks, quickly illuminating what our boldest and most authentic sense of self expression looks like to us

On March 28th, Venus, the planet of beauty and relationships, concerns itself with the stern and disciplined realities of Saturn in the sign of future-focused Aquarius. Juno, the asteroid ruling the deep commitments we make, is also present with this Venus and Saturn conjunction, asking us to assess what obligations the relationships in our lives are expecting us to stick to.

Also on March 28th, the North node in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces. The North Node rules the uncharted path of our destiny while Neptune rules our dreams, ideals, illusions and altered states of consciousness. This transit inspires us to ask ourselves if the actions we are taking are in line with our dreams and if our dreams are in line with our destinies.

On March 30th, Venus in Aquarius squares the North Node in Taurus. Take a second at the beginning half of this week to evaluate whether the relationships in your life (including the one you have with yourself) are pushing you toward your goals or preventing you from embodying your authentic self expression.

In the earliest hours of Friday, April 1st, the Moon is New in Aries. New Moons, especially the New Moon in Aries represent a time for new growth and beginnings. This week is extra special because Aries is the first sign in the astrological calendar, this New Moon marks the first New Moon of the Astrological New Year! This is an amazing time to set intentions on what you would like to call into your life for the next 12 months.

On April 2nd, Mercury meets the Sun in a conjunction in Aries. Chiron is also present with the Sun and Mercury hot off the heels of the New Moon. Chiron is a minor planet representing the wounds in our ego that manifest as harsh negative self-talk and perceived inadequacy that only grows in intensity if we cringe away from addressing it.

This is an incredible time to open yourself up to receive clarity on confusing topics. Leverage the courage found in the Aries archetype to face your insecurities head on and meet your wounds with a commitment to be kinder to yourself through the discomfort of it all.

Take advantage of the power of new beginnings and the extra special opportunity that this New Moon’s beginning brings us by joining a group manifestation session this Sunday! Welcome back to your weekly horoscope sweet trees and darling roots! This week is a week about both dreaming big and feeling upset at all the reminders that we are not in control of the events unfolding around us. Where do you put your frustration when things don’t go the way you want them to?

On Sunday, March 13th, the Sun conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. This transit lends you a gigantic opportunity for daydreaming and stepping outside the bounds of linear time. For the next day or two, relish in the reality that sometimes just being able to dream unencumbered can be enough.

Monday, March 14th, Mercury in Pisces squares Ceres in Gemini. This transit, especially off the heels of the Sun-Neptune conjunction, provides the opportunity to ask yourself whether the spaces that your mind occupies are either nourishing or draining you. Are you blaming yourself for environmental circumstances outside of your control? Can you cultivate a practice of self-forgiveness for your inability to be everything at once for everyone else?

On Wednesday, March 16th, Pallas is conjunct Chiron in Aries. Pallas is the non-binary associated asteroid and can show us where in our life we find ourselves subverting societally enforced gender roles. Chiron rules the erratic egoic wound, or masculine wound. Chiron is representative of a nagging voice of negative self talk that only grows in irritation if we cringe away from confronting it. Pallas conjunct Chiron in Aries asks us to reflect on how we talk to ourselves about the ways we subvert gender roles. Is your self-talk supportive of your authentic self expression? Or are you passing judgment at the ways your self expression subverts societal gender roles? (For more information on the origin of the Chiron wound and tips to cope, check out my upcoming Chiron Workshop in April, or purchase the Workshop Digital Download from the Shrutrees shop!)

From Thursday, March 17th to Tuesday, March 22nd, multiple planets aspect Uranus. Uranus rules unexpected upsets, irreversible breakdowns, technological advancements and rebellious change. Having three Uranus transits back to back reminds us of just how little in our life we can control. Relinquish control of the outcomes of the events unfolding around you and make decisions in accordance with your values.

This Friday’s Full Moon is an opportunity to release outdated patterns of negative thinking. Step into the astrological new year without the limitations of harmful self talk! Allow yourself the opportunity to let go of any thought process that prevents you from expressing yourself to the fullest.

Saturday is the last day of Pisces Season! I would suggest reflecting on the past month but frankly if you remember it at all that is a paramount achievement worth celebrating in of itself! Hold yourself in high regard for having made it this far, imperfections and all!

Don’t forget to sign up for the one day Lilith Workshop either this Saturday or next Saturday! Lilith in astrology refers to our chaotic feminine wound produced by the historical lineage of patriarchal violence! Come learn the history of this phenomenon and how to use the astrology of Black Moon Lilith as a self reflective tool for healing and growth. Welcome back to your weekly horoscope sweet trees and darling roots!

Last week was a reminder to us of how deeply interconnected we are with the people in our lives. Understanding what we want from ourselves and the people in our lives and clearly communicating is essential to navigate Pisces season. This month provides a conflict-heavy atmosphere on a micro and macro level.

Everybody is fighting about their vision of the future and power grabs are being made all over the place. Ground into your vision of the future by allowing your mind to be a place to visualize what it looks like to expand beyond what you think is possible within the confines of capitalist patriarchal society.

This is a good week to explore relational exchanges with the people in your life! Set up friend dates, try new activities and be open to refreshing possibilities unfolding before you!

From around Thursday to Sunday, pay attention to an increased tendency to act in unexpected ways in an attempt to soothe buried wounds. If you notice yourself reacting impulsively to events happening in your life, carve out some time with trusted people and/or your journal to contemplate what true wounds you are responding from.

One source driving our tendency to react from our underlying wounds is captured through Lilith in astrology. Lilith is one manifestation of an archetype representing all the ways patriarchy has damaged our connections to our maternal lineages of community care. Come learn about the Lilith archetype in this month’s Lilith Workshop!

The ONE DAY Lilith Workshop is a new space to explore the underlying concepts that drive our communities and societies. Together we will use history and astrology to explore how this specific archetype plays out on an interpersonal level, a familial level, a community level and a structural level.

We’ll talk Mesopotamian origins, 70’s feminist Jewish revival, and Lilith’s, MANY mistellings and misconceptions. This workshop features international historical examples, like Sita from the Ramayana as well as modern day pop culture examples such as Megan Fox and Representative AOC. Finally, we will ground all of this by reflecting on our own natal charts with the rise of Black Moon Lilith and its use as a tool for self reflection, healing and growth in modern tropical astrology.
